Semi Custom Invitations
These luxury semi custom wedding invitation suites are inspired by my love of printmaking particularly the process of drypoint etching, which allows me to create delicate fine line art prints. The process of creating these designs by digitising my original etching prints in order to adapt the illustrations to create these beautiful unique fine art wedding stationery suites. The texture that is created when producing a drypoint etching adds to the organic beauty of the designs found within these semi custom wedding invitation suites. The Process behind the designs
Each semi custom invitation design has been inspired by one of my original drypoint etching prints, making them truly unique and something special for you to celebrate your wedding with.
To produce the delicate drypoint prints each one is etched using a series of mark making techniques with a sharp etching tool. Once I have finished etching onto the printing plate it is inked up, ready to be printed onto a thick Somerset paper. This is done by rolling it through my traditional printing press in order to lift the ink from the drypoint plate onto the paper. Watch the video to see this in action!
Once the print has dried, I am able to transfer it into a digital format, allowing me to play around with the imagery on adobe software, in order to produce my beautiful semi custom invitation designs. These are then printed onto thick luxurious card and paper stocks.
